Paul says we must deal with sin violently... we must recognize what it will do to us... we must kill it before it kill us.

How?

What are my weapons ? I want to be free from the power of sin. Ho do I rid myself  from this corruption that  leads to death?

The first weapon is the Scriptures. The Scriptures revealed to us the truth. The Scriptures can convict and instruct.

The next weapon is confession. 1 John1:9 (NIV) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

The third weapon that we have at our disposal to kill sin, is the community of God.
