v. 13 Be on your guard ; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. v 14 Do everything in love.

Be On your Guard - When temptation comes and it will come be ready!

Stand firm in the Faith - When your doubts come... when you can't see what God is doing...when you don't understand... stand firm in the faith!

Be courageous - Act like a man. Men suppose to defend their family. That does not mean you won't be scared... in spite of my fear I will trust Jesus...

Be strong - you will have suffering in the world...

Do everything in love - Paul want us to be followers of Jesus who are strong and loving... willing to speak the truth... have the hard conversation all in love.
